Oh, during the battle now you can change the characters used as in the Marvel vs Capcom series via Leader Swap. On the other hand, now gamers will again be faced with the choice to use a number of jutsu or Ultimate Jutsu in battle – a feature that can provide a variety of strategies for each player. The presence of this feature is actually considered to limit the abilities of the characters we use, and is considered unsuitable for Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 which is trying to display even more powerful battles. To make it easier for gamers, CyberConnect2 removed the fighting style feature used by Storm Revolution, where players must choose one of three styles (Ultimate, Awakening, Drive) to use in battle. Even though it feels asymmetrical, it actually makes the course of the fight feel more unique because it is close to what is often shown in the TV series!! Unlike the previous game where if one character “snapped” on the wall, the other characters will be forced to do the same.
As described in previous editions, SUNS 4 brings back the wall run feature but with a few interesting additions – this time one character can move (and fight) freely against the wall, while the opponent is on the floor as usual. Not only in terms of the breadth of the arena, but also the gameplay features that support it so that the flow of the game feels even more stable. Through this fourth SUNS game, the developer seems to be trying to display a battle on a much larger scale than its predecessors. But don’t worry because it doesn’t mean that in the future this fighting game series will not appear again, because after all, only Naruto’s story arc ends. Maybe that’s why the developer puts so many interesting features into the gameplay, plus brings back a variety of selected game elements from previous games that gamers like, to give sweet memories. Just like the TV series, it seems that Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm (Naruto SUNS) will end its “running period” through this game because SUNS 4 will focus the story on the last chapter of Naruto’s struggle.
